Who can submit trailers to The Game Trail?
Anyone! We encourage gamers and game developers to post trailers, reviews, hints and tips - anything beyond a text description and a couple of screenshots that can help gamers make informed decisions about the best games for them.

Must trailers be posted on YouTube first?
Currently all trailers need to be posted to YouTube in order to be viewable both online and on your iPhone / iPod touch.

How are your recommendations tied in to App Store recommendations?
Our recommendations are completely unrelated to those in the App Store. Our ratings are based on an algorithm that combines the game's rating from multiple sources.

How is this app different from the other recommendation apps out there?
We are focused completely on games, and not any other apps. Every game has trailers or reviews attached to them so you can easily tell if the gameplay suits you. Screenshots and descriptions written by the developers are not enough.

How are the games rated (e.g. sales, popularity)?
Currently games are rated by popularity, which is determined by an aggregate of website reviews, using a proprietary algorithm.

What kinds of searches can I perform?
Currently you can search games by name, or choose from 12 major game genres to narrow your search. We also have tabs highlighting featured games, as well as our Top 250. We have plans to add more advanced search options in the near future.

Can I purchase games through the iPhone app?
App Store links are near the top of every game's page on The Game Trail.

What led to your decision to create this app and website?
We have worked in mobile game development for the past 10 years, and because of our experience, our friends constantly ask for recommendations on what games to get. We thought we'd share those recommendations with iPhone gamers everywhere, which is why we created The Game Trail.
